. . . HDR Images and Ideas
HDR imaging is relatively new on the consumer level and now is in vogue. The purpose of this site is to display my explorations in HDR photography, including notes and ideas for further explorations. The site design will remain simple and straight forward. It will be added to frequently, both with images and thoughts.
Persons wishing to purchase prints, canvas prints, or use, should contact me with requests. Please always include the print number. My current price list is posted at my BuffaloRiverPhotography.com website.
I am from the photorealistic school of HDR. I really do like the way the images look, but I am not very fond of the oranged up, kind of nuclear look. I often use HDR in multi-layer composites and adjust transparency to find different mixes of the same image. This is creative art in my mind. I want images to be plausible, and visually compelling.

"The artist's central task is to report how the world feels. HDR photos capture the emotion I want to express in my work."

In my mind's eye, I visualize how a particular . . . sight and feeling will appear on a print. If it excites me, there is a good chance it will make a good photograph. It is an intuitive sense, an ability that comes from a lot of practice.
